This year, we helped a local electrician that, again, was wearing every hat and supporting his family by doing what he thought was the right thing – owning his own electrical business. There is a lot of glory and pride that goes into being a business owner, but more stress that comes with it. We helped this business owner actually sell his business to a company that is taking care of his customers on a higher level than before and be a better father and husband by joining that company that he sold it to as an employee, with a solid team, which he never had before. Again…. so worth it.

You might think of us as middlemen, therapists, recruiters, life coaches or teachers… but we prefer to think of ourselves as those that have “been there, done that”, mastered what the trades need, and want to share our knowledge by getting people to their next step.

something bigger, better, and giving more power to the people within the trades. People are starting to realize that college might be a waste of time or money for them. For those that love working with their hands, helping others, and building something that gives people heat, hot water, and electricity….. they could actually be happier and more successful in a trade.

At Next Step Trades, we’re obsessed with changing our world’s perspective of trades and what opportunities and options there are out there. We’ve helped individuals realize what they’re worth and what they’re missing out on, whether that may be compensation, work/life balance, career growth, or happiness.

We helped one plumber this year go from being on-call every weekend, wearing too many hats (accountant, purchaser, sales person, lead tech AND helper, manager, etc), and hating their job to being at a company that guides and mentors him, gives him a sweet uniform and truck, does more selling which is what his passion was, and has customers that are pumped to see him….. that’s what makes it all worth it.
